CANCELLATION INFORMATION

When purchasing a retreat through our site, please review our cancellation policy. This policy will apply to your purchase, and it is your responsibility to read and understand the cancellation policy thoroughly and to know your options clearly.

We understand that sometimes things come up and unexpected events happen that can keep you from attending the retreat you booked. If you’re certain that you aren’t able to make it to the retreat, the best thing you can do is reach out to us at lightportalceremony@gmail.com and cancel. We will help navigate the cancelation policy and any potential refund with you.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND OPTIONS:

A. Applies for Full Payment & Deposits, If you need to cancel for any reason, we will provide partial refunds based on the following:

• 95% refund for cancellation made 30 or more days before the retreat start date.

• 50% refund for cancellation 15-29 days before the retreat start date.

• 0% refund for cancellation 0-14 days before the retreat start date.

**** Any refunds allowed will incur an additional 5% processing fee ****

B. If you decide not to join the retreat 15 days before the retreat start date, we are willing to hold your 50% refund as a down payment for the next retreat of your choice. However, please note you will need to pay the extra cost difference. Additionally, if you need to cancel based on illness or other extenuating circumstances, please write to us at lightportalceremony@gmail.com and explain the situation. We will assess the refund amount based on your specific circumstances.

C. Please note that because Light Portal Ceremony Retreats are limited to a small number of attendees to allow for a more personable, intimate experience, our cancellation policy is in place to help guests and us alike work together, sharing expenses that may arise from unexpected cancellations.

***In the event of a retreat cancellation initiated by us, participants are entitled to opt for either a complete refund amounting to 100% of the original payment, or to utilize the sum as a deposit towards a future retreat of their preference.

***It is important to acknowledge that our policies may change, and any modifications will be implemented immediately. We appreciate your understanding and compliance with these guidelines.

ONLINE DISCLAIMER ADDENDUM:

By participating in any Light Portal Ceremony, you agree that you do so at your own risk, are voluntarily participating in these activities, assume all risk of injury to yourself, and agree to release Light Portal Ceremony from any and all claims or causes of action, known or unknown, arising out of attendance at our event.

By choosing to attend our retreat, you agree to the following:

• Retreats are a combination of individual and group experiences. You will progress at your own pace, and if you experience any pain or discomfort, you will listen to your body, adjust to fit your needs, and/or stop and rest when needed.

• You understand there is an inherent risk associated with any medicine retreat. You understand and are aware that you may experience altered states of mind and impacts to your physical body.

• You acknowledge that you:

  • Are not taking any medications or have stopped taking any medications that could interfere with the medicine at least two weeks before arrival at the retreat

  • You have decided to participate in a medicine retreat voluntarily and do hereby assume all responsibility for your participation in the retreat.

  • You, your heirs, and legal representatives, do hereby forever waive and release Light Portal Retreat, its leaders, instructors, agents, and employees from any and all liability and responsibility from injury, accident, illness, legal and medical fees sustained now or in the future resulting from your participation in any Light Portal events and activities.

  • You understand that Light Portal Ceremony is not a licensed medical care provider and represents that it has no expertise in diagnosing, examining, or treating medical conditions of any kind or in determining the effect of any specific exercise on a medical condition.

• To send periodic emails regarding the retreat and future retreat opportunities

• Will follow up with you after the retreat to check in and support the integration

• Unless otherwise specified, the ability to use pictures and videos of you and other participants for online promotion of our retreat

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your Personally Identifiable Information.

We do not include or offer third-party products or services on our website.
